When is the houston cookoff

There will be free chopped barbecue sandwiches, live music, photo ops and more. Go Texan Day will be celebrated the same day, and everyone is encouraged to wear their best cowboy drag. More than barbecue teams will compete in several categories, including brisket, ribs, chicken and desserts. A dozen trail rides will parade through Houston on Feb. The Rodeo Run is Feb. The Rodeo Parade will be that same day through downtown Houston. RodeoHouston celebrates its 90th anniversary next year, with rodeo events and concerts running Feb.

Joey Guerra is the music critic for the Houston Chronicle. Inside the saloon is the Chuckwagon, where visitors can pick up their complimentary sliced brisket plate with chips and beans. Awards will be presented to the top 3 contestants at 11 a. Tickets allow entrance into NRG Park for the World's Championship Bar-B-Que Contest and includes a complimentary sliced bar-b-que brisket plate, access to live music areas and admission to the carnival.

Tent passes are not for sale and are distributed by the Bar-B-Que teams. These spaces are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability. Present valid state issued handicap placard or vehicle registration for access. View the map to find the public venues, drink ticket stations, carnival tickets, restrooms and more. Please note, the tents are listed by barbecue team names. The Garden is located in the center of the contest grounds.

A delicious complimentary sliced brisket plate with chips and beans awaits guests at The Chuck Wagon , and next door, visitors will enjoy the Rockin' Bar-B-Que Saloon , which features live and DJ music.
